Mandatory Onboarding Tasks

Your onboarding begins here!
Please complete all of the following onboarding tasks no later than their due date.
Paycom invitations will be sent out on a rolling basis.
You should receive an email invitation from our payroll partner, Paycom. Log in to Paycom and complete the onboarding checklist using the link provided in the email. If you have not received an email from Paycom within one week from viewing this site, please submit a ticket to our People Operations team by emailing support.peopleops@zetaschools.org.
Paycom is the platform where you will be able to view your pay information and perform critical tasks like enroll in health benefits on your first day.
IMPORTANT: Please upload your I-9 verification documents in Paycom when you complete your Paycom onboarding. New leaders MUST upload I-9 documents by 7/8. New teachers and instructional staff MUST upload I-9 documents by 7/27.
A full list of acceptable documents can be found here. Please ensure that all uploaded documents are not expired.
If submitting an Employment Authorization Card that expires within three months of your start date, please flag this to support.peopleops@zetaschools.org and provide details on your progress towards re-authorizing your employment.

Once your Paycom self-onboarding has been completed, you will receive a notification to verify your work email. You will be able to verify your work email on your first day, so please disregard this alert.
Attend a fingerprinting appointment on the earliest available date.
You must have your fingerprints cleared with NY State before you can start working at Zeta. IMPORTANT: Your fingerprinting appointment must be scheduled as soon as possible. If you have previously worked in a NY school, you are likely to already be fingerprinted. Please input your SSN into your Paycom self-onboarding and email support.peopleops@zetaschools.org to flag, and we will confirm whether you are clear.
To schedule an appointment:
Enter the service code 14ZGQT on the first page. You must enter this code first.
Enter your voucher code
Check your inbox for an email from People Operations with your Fingerprinting Voucher Code.
Take this voucher with you to the appointment as well - they will ask for it on-site!
Enter your personal information and complete the enrollment process.
If you foresee any difficulty getting fingerprinted, please submit a ticket to our People Ops team by emailing support.peopleops@zetaschools.org.
Before you start work, you must respond to a background check request from our vendor, "Checkr." Check your inbox for an email from Checkr and enter your information. This is a 10 minute task.
Please enter information for your PREVIOUS employer (including part-time jobs and internships, if it was your most recent role) for the employment verification section of the report. DO NOT list Zeta for the employment verification section. Please be advised that if you have not been in your previous role for 3+ years, Checkr will request that you tick off the ‘Employment Gap’ box. If you come across this issue, please tick off the 'Employment Gap' box and leave a note indicating that you were not at your previous employer for 3+ years. You may push through with submitting the background check!
Refer to the Teaching Certification page for full application and certification instructions based on the graduate school you will be attending.
To complete these modules, we need to activate your Zeta email, even if you will not have access to your email until your first day. Please be advised that your credentials will be activated as soon as your location placement has been finalized and you may not have access to your modules immediately!
In order to ensure a safe environment, you must complete SafeSchools online safety training modules upon hire. You must log into your SafeSchools account and complete your assigned modules prior to your first day.

Please note that you cannot enroll in benefits prior to your first day of work. Benefits Enrollment will become active in Paycom on your first day.
